VCF Awards Holy Angels a $28,000 Grant

 Vernon, California — February 17, 2026

Holy Angels Catholic Church of the Deaf is honored and grateful to announce that we have been awarded a $28,000 grant from the Vernon CommUNITY Fund in support of our project titled “Youth Development and Cultural Revival Program.”

This generous investment will allow Holy Angels Church of the Deaf to expand programs that empower youth, strengthen cultural identity, and promote community development among Deaf and underserved populations in the surrounding Vernon region.

The Vernon CommUNITY Fund exists to enhance the quality of life in neighboring communities by supporting initiatives that strengthen families, promote youth development, and expand opportunities for education and social growth. 

Through this funding, Holy Angels Church of the Deaf will implement programming that:

• Supports youth leadership development
   
• Preserves and celebrates cultural heritage
   
• Strengthens community connection and identity
   
• Provides meaningful opportunities for personal growth and engagement
   
• Promotes long-term social and educational enrichment
   

This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to serving the Deaf community through faith, culture, and inclusive opportunities that nurture the whole person.
